Are you a filmmaker, artist or arts professional who cares about AFCOOP and wants to take an active role in shaping the future of the organization? We’re looking for you!
AFCOOP is looking for new Board Members! The AFCOOP Board is comprised of 10 directors and 5 Ex Officio members (non-voting members). The Board meets monthly (usually on a Wednesday evening) for approximately 2hrs to review AFCOOP’s activities, revise and set policies, monitor our financial position and discuss big-picture topics related to the organization.
As a Board member you need to commit to: attending the majority of meetings, reading documents in advance of the meetings and participating in email discussion as required. Board members are also encouraged to take active roles in AFCOOP’s other committees such as the Production Committee, the Development Committee, the Education Committee and the Finance Committee. Board members are eligible to accrue AFCOOP volunteer hours for their time.
The new Board for 2017/18 will be elected at AFCOOP’s AGM July 27th 6:30pm at the AFCOOP office, 5663 Cornwallis Street Suite 101. If you are unable to attend the AGM but would still like to be considered for the board please let Martha – email@example.com know in advance of the meeting.
