Safety

  • Returned equipment will sit untouched for over 72hrs before AFCOOP staff process the return. According to the World Health Organization, the COVID-19 virus can survive for up to 72 hours on plastic and stainless steel, less than 4 hours on copper and less than 24 hours on cardboard. We have opted for a quarantine period over time-consuming, difficult and possibly ineffective cleaning at this time.
  • AFCOOP staff will wear a mask and gloves at all times when handling the equipment and will wear a mask when interacting with members.
  • High touch-points in the office (door handles, debit machines etc.) will be cleaned between renters.
  • Renters will be required to sign AFCOOP’s new COVID-19 rental agreement addendum that specifies that they agree to adhere to all provincial health and safety guidelines related to their production (social distancing etc.).
  • If renters are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have any known exposure to the virus before their booking they will be asked to cancel their booking at no charge. If symptoms or known exposure take place during the rental period they will be asked to inform AFCOOP as soon as possible via email: director@afcoop.ca
