At the Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative, we welcome members of the community to help our organization in volunteer roles. Our doors are open to all individuals with a passion for filmmaking!

As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our volunteers to continue supporting our community! We are grateful for any amount of time a volunteer can donate. However, please be aware that new members are required to volunteer for four hours to finalize their membership.

At AFCOOP, volunteers can lend their helping hands in a wide variety of ways. The specific needs that volunteers can fulfill vary from time to time. Continue reading to best determine how you want to volunteer:

For those who enjoy working on the technical projects and maintaining our spaces (i.e. analog suite, dark room, editing suite), Cody can guide you to the best available opportunities. Email cody@afcoop.ca.

If you’re interested in lending a hand for various programming initiatives (i.e. helping set-up and photograph our workshops, panels, and general meetings), Henry is best to get in touch with. Email henry@afcoop.ca.

If you have alternative ideas for ways you’d like to support AFCOOP through volunteer work, reach out to Brielle at brielle@afcoop.ca.

Thank you for your interest in contributing your efforts to AFCOOP. We appreciate your willingness to support local filmmakers, and we look forward to hearing from you!

We also put opportunities up on our Instagram and Facebook. Follow us for opportunities.
